There are two errors that most folks are seeing, and they're not necessarily related.
The "(Error message: external caller)" will prevent you from writing any additional metadata (track titles OR comments/reviews) to a show page. This is an error I've never seen before and likely indicates that something is read-only even though it's not listed as such in the item's history (which you would see by the server's number highlighted in yellow). This appears to be extremely widespread.
The "primary US node" is almost invariably related to system slowness. This comes and goes - I uploaded a number of items yesterday, and while some checked in at a completely glacial pace, others went through at normal speed. The fiber maintenance that Jeff Kaplan mentioned elsewhere on a post is unquestionably a factor in this, but it may also have to do with overloaded/overworked servers, because this error comes up every now and again even when there isn't ongoing maintenance.
Sorry there's nothing Jeff or I can do to help...but at least we can explain things a little better. :P
